Description
Named Virginia’s official state grape in 2011, the Virginia Viognier has earned praise for its high quality. Typically, this wine has intense, and complex aromas of stone fruit with tropical notes that suggest a sweet wine, but it is usually made in a dry style. The grape’s taste is a perfect marriage between fruit and acidity. The aroma contains rich and creamy with melon and mango qualities particularly in the aroma. This wine leaves a finish with a lingering essence of tropical fruit.
Food Pairing: Viognier pairs well with shrimp, lobster, veal, cheeses and pork dishes with rich sauce.
